The six-judge panel completed their review in May. First Prize ($5,000) was awarded to the entry entitled "From Inertia to Inner Circle" submitted by Jean-Baptiste Cueille and Francois David of Paris, France. Their entry set a standard with the use of grass, trees and water alongside outdoor cafes and comfortable seating. Second Prize ($2,000) was earned by the local Urban Design Studio of Ratio Architects members Tom Gallagher, Ben Ross and Brian Staresnick. Their entry, "Re: Centering Indianapolis," demonstrates the power of many small ideas to create a great space. Third Prize ($1,000), "Nexus: Indianapolis" stood out as it proposed the integration of Monument Circle with the surrounding neighborhoods and key landmarks. It was submitted by Studio Three Architects Brian Hollars, Lohren Deeg and Kerry LaPrees of Muncie, Indiana.

The top 12 entries including these Judges' Choice awards are displayed on Monument Circle from June 15-26, 2011.
